@ the Checkout Counter

This has happened to you–admit it.

I was at Staples late this morning-I had one thing that is one (1) thing to-and even had cash.

So, I pick up the item and head to the checkout line. Of course at Staples they only have one register open at a time, so the line is 15 deep.  After a garbled announcement the woman for line 4 shows up and the next person in line moves over.  Then it’s a free for all.

If you are not the next on line you have a big decision to make.  Hold my ground and make a break for the new line.

Today, because the guy had one thing in his hand-I made a break.t Well, shit happens.  Bad call.  It took the gentleman who was first in line 18 minutes (and four additional Staples employees) to buy a single ink cartridge.  And this does not count the two minutes of my time he spend arguing with the cashier that the cost of the cartrifge is more than $40.
